About the Role
Will oversee a department of 12 with 3 direct reports - These managers are extremely strong. All are out of the Big 4. Two have CPAs and one has his JD/LLM
This role is going to be a consultative position within Senior Management
The VP is the go to person for all transactions/potential transactions/financing/various capital management opportunities
Will work on M&A - Step in on a technical level (regarding planning/strategy)
Will work on the tax rate/manage the premium taxes.
Will focus on both insurance (Insurance payment of premium taxes/statutory accounting) and non insurance activities (State Income Tax and Franchise Taxes)
This is a structural opportunity
Qualifications
CPA a must/MST, LLM, or JD a plus
8-10 years Big 4 experience
8-10+ years of Tax Leadership experience
Must have worked in Insurance (but doesn't necessarily have to be in the Industry in the present)
Must have a strong consultative nature and leadership capabilities
Must strong experience working with FAS 109, FIN 48, and Statutory Accounting

National Search - Financial Analyst
Manufacturing setting and willing to
relocate the position. Looking for someone with 2-6 years of experience,
paying 50-75k with a 10% bonus.
Relocation is provided, but since this isnt an director/executive role they will cover basic moving expenses. They wont purchase or pay costs associated with the closing of a home.
Job Summary:
This position provides analysis & reporting for
manufacturing production & related expenditures which includes standards development and budgeting in accordance to the accounting policies and procedures. Assists in identifying and implementing improvements related to efficiencies and controls where appropriate. Provide support and training to manufacturing associates as required. This position also provides support & resources to all departments within the company as it relates manufacturing and plant activities to ensure financial integrity of corporate and plant assets.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform cost benefit analysis
Support the annual budget process provide direction for site managers
Suggest process improvements where actionable
Implement, Review & Provide training on transaction processes for
accuracy and internal control guidelines
Provide transaction process training as required
Provide plant level performance evaluations and reporting
Partner with engineering and production to create, develop and finalize
production standards for products produced
Maintain costing tables and standards for materials, labor and overhead
for the facility
Assist in inventory reporting and valuation
Prepare plant cost information for timely closing of financial period
end, including journal entries support, key account reconciliations
and variance analysis
Support operation management, manufacturing and supply chain functions
through cost and operational analysis
Provide analysis of key performance indicators and trend reports for
manufacturing costs
Perform ad hoc cost/operations analyses in support of continuous
improvement efforts

National Search - Global Director of Credit and Collection - 160k+++
$120-160K

Multi billion $ Global Company Located in Texas. The A/R portfolio is about $3B - 2000 customers in 70 countries. There are 5-6 direct reports and 50 reporting up through them. (15 of those are on 4 different continents.)
Major responsibilities will be to evaluate credit worthiness of the customer base, collect cash and manage the A/R, build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and develop and lead the organization. Candidates should possess solid fundamental financial experience, knowledge of the legal process as it applies to bankruptcy and collection; experience is a plus. This is a high profile, director level position there will be extensive interaction with finance as well as operations. Graduate degree is a plus but not required.
